The basics are gathering up participants by posting here and to the IS/WPT mailing list and anywhere else you don’t think is overkill. Deciding when to start gathering participant, when to actually start the thing, then making sure nothing goes too horribly wrong and making sure the next person takes over if somebody misses their turn.
