As you may have noticed, over the past few weeks I’ve been quietly waging a campaign to make a drastic step-up in the quality of grabs in heavy rotation here. This doesn’t mean that every last building, keogh, landscape, industrial whosicallit, and virtually identical to the last one grab has been removed. It just means there are a lot fewer of them, and your odds of getting something more inspiring by refreshing the image a few times are a lot higher.

Ever wonder what it’s like to run a cap gallery? To peek behind the curtain and catch a glimpse of the Wizard, whizzing away and yelling at you to close the goddamned curtain, this stall is occupied? Well now, thanks to the magic of Gerson’s Blog-Pimping program…You Can.

Running a cap gallery is so fun I could poop, and often do. You get to spend your entire week pouring through thousands of caps the authors themselves didn’t give a second thought to, stoically holding extreme caption burn-out at bay as you plow through page after page of crap you’ve seen before. This year, Inventing Situations will be celebrating the most important day on the Canadian calendar - February 12th, Lorne Greene’s birthday. We won’t be following the Canadian custom of marking the day (and every other) by comically insisting we’re not Americans, instead we’ll mark it the same way we do every day here - running a load of Bonanzas.
