Farewell to Dick, Hello to Creeps. Plus free requests!
We’re coming up on the final episode of Dick Tracy here at Inventing Situations. This very Wednesday (depending on how quickly you read this, that’s tomorrow, today or the past) at 6 PM eastern. I’d give you a recap, but frankly, I have no clue what’s going on in the series any more.
To celebrate, we’ve even got a special set of pictures from the serial over at Wasting Precious Time - go write a story with them now!
Of course, one serial ending means another one’s starting. And the winner of the vote I held with myself is….The Phantom Creeps, starring Bela Lugosi. All twelve episodes. Not just the three you’ve seen on mst and IS. The others will be coming to the catalog eventually. There’s also going to be a change of time - Thursdays at 4 PM, hopefully to catch more people capping from work. Not that we encourage that. Starting 4/26.
To mark the occassion and the 502nd item available for request, I’ve finally moved the catalog/request system out of beta and set the price at nothing! That’s right, zip, zero, zilch, nada. What the market would bear. Go ahead and make a request for the item of your choice to be capped at the time of your choice.

I’ve met some Phantom Creeps–and some real ones too!
(the survey will not take my “add an answer,” so I’ll just mention it here…..
CLICKABLE PORN!!!!!
(it will lead to violent upheaval, and no one will even notice the bugs!)

Why not add a function to cancel a request altogether? (I don’t see a way to do that in the current interface.)
For the wishy-washy in us all.

Why not add a cancel function? Because at current usage levels, it would take a year or two before the effort to add and test even the simplest cancel button would be less than the effort to just run the cancelled requests. While the system does feel incomplete without one, it’s bang to the buck ratio puts it towards the bottom of my todo list. The contact form will have to suffice for the forseeable future.

I wish I could save one screengrab at a time, like before. Is the change part of the “all caps become my property” thing? If so, it’s cool.

Nope. It’s possible that some of the changes I’ve made for things like the autorefresh gallery are messing you up, but right clicking to save single images still works fine for me.

Ah — well, I miss being able to save with one step, but right-clicking is fine.

Ok, you should be able to drag and drop easily from IS in IE now. You may need to refresh to make it work.

It works perfectly and thanks looking into it!
