No, it’s not a shameless attempt to get kids smoking, but it is almost as oddly conceived, it’s the James A. Garfield disposable lighter. I picked it up at one of my neighborhood’s many discount stores, even though I don’t smoke - it was just too odd to pass up. It’s slightly less odd when you consider that it was one in a series of presidential lighters, along with requisite non-president Ben Franklin.

Since we’re busy preparing our own homage to the classic mst3k Turkey marathons, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that some of the special commercial bumpers from those very marathons will be showing in the videos section at the official site starting Monday 11/19 (until ?) along with (we think) a new Thanksgiving bit with those animated bot-like objects. Word on the street is that those cartoons should start showing improvement any episode now.

Here’s when you can see your favorite movies during the Turkey week festivities It all weighs in at just over seven days, showing most items twice.

I’ve added two more “new” movies, Ring of Terror and Gamera. It’s not exactly the same version of Gamera the Brains used, General Curly Joe’s not in there, but close enough by my standards. I’ve also got fresh grabs for Master Ninja I and First Spaceship to Venus.

I’ve got two more new movies that’ll be surprises during the marathon, they’re listed as “Mystery Box” on the schedule, and I’m going to try to add new grabs for a few more movies.

Once again, rather than work on the grabs for the Turkey Week marathon I’ve made another video promo that probably won’t attract new cappers. This time reflecting on what we as msties, have to be thankful for:
