The Long National Nightmare Is Over

Turns out Jazz’ subletter stopped paying him or something, so I can no longer rent the space out to him. So, your back to my rule. Deal with it, pinkboys.

There’s still a nightmare though: WPT seems to have declined badly from its heyday. There’s been no new stories on it (except by site owner, old loyalist blabbercappers like me, and the Round-Robin) since Feb. 20!

I seem to recall last year and 2005 were like this in the pre-tax/early spring season, also.
So maybe it should be left up awhile yet… but the grand old days when it had pic sets from Snowbeast and Day of Destruction and other tempting (and organized) targets, seem to be gone.

    Or just hold another RoundRobin.

(I think I could stand as moderator this time around. Volunteer me if it seems right.)

I remember Snowbeast, I remember busier times at WPT, but I don’t remember Day of Destruction or any genuinely busy times.
At any rate, as penance for being delinquent with uploading sets lately, I added two today.
As for the Round Robin thing, Un’s still got the moderator job, though there’s really no reason folks can’t start up Round Robins of their own.

Um, we just did a Round Robin:

And we’re planning another to start in a couple of weeks. I just need to send out the info and invites. I mean, I’m not going to fight over moderator status, but Gerson’s absolutely right that there’s no reason there can’t be multiple robins.

I assure you, I intended no fights.

Nor have I a following, so rivalry (like that of HCC to IS, to open a sore point) is out of the question.

(FYI, what I called Day of Destruction was a sequence from some 70s flick w/some guy shooting a pistol in front of a ‘No Outlet’ sign, which I turned into a Music Video In Stills to the tune of Signs [i.e. "Sign, Sign, Everywhere A Sign".] I guess nobody else laughed their heads off at WPT in those days, I did. Memorable, some of it.)

(Besides, if there were a rival Round Robin group, what would it be called? The Rival Round? The More Trivial Round Robin? all I can think of are stuuupid names like that.)
