A forward from Agent_Moldy:

This year – June 5, to be exact – I will be turning f… fo… *ahem* that ‘f’ word that comes after 39. And while I don’t relish the thought of becoming a woman of a “certain age”, I would still like to celebrate.

Now, I have plans to imbibe with my friends in the ‘flesh world’ (ew, that sounds kind of icky, doesn’t it…) on one night, but I would like to celebrate with my capper friends, too. I mean, heck, I’ve been acquainted with some of you for nearly 11 years, already! So yeah, I want to include you guys, too.

So here’s what I’m thinking – we’ve had bachelor & bachelorette parties, we’ve capped wedding photos and capfest photos, but we haven’t had a birthday cap party. At least, I don’t think so. Or maybe we have. Hell, I can’t remember these things. After all, I am almost ffff… nope, still can’t say it.

The plan is to do this on Friday, June 6. I am hoping to get to Inventing Situations and the Cap-Page Board and see some of you that day (I will be at work during the day, so I can’t promise anything, but I will try!) And, there will also be a special late-night event at Hipsoda’s Caption Crack, beginning at 10pm Eastern, and going all night. A big thank you to Jazzsoda (who some might say is Hippie, but this is still to be proven) for agreeing to host the event.

So what can you expect? Well, I hear tell there will be Kolchak! (Sorry, Shanky, but o/ It’s my birthday, and I’ll cap what I want to…o/), Peanuts! The X-Files! Horrible Album Covers! And much, much, more! All for just three, easy payments of $19.95 e — *ahem* Sorry. Got a little carried away there.

Folks, I’m not looking for special treatment or fanfare. I’d just love to see as many of us as can be there show up and cap together again. Anyone who has ever attended a big reunion cap session like the one I’m hoping for knows it’s a lot of fun, and it’s especially great to see people whom we haven’t seen in a long time show up and cap again. Like you! Yeah, that’s right, I’m looking at you… and you over there… and you in the back… uh huh, don’t think I don’t see you!

ANNNYwayyy, if you can, I’d love to see you ’round Inventing Situations and the Cap-Page Board during the day on Friday, June 6, and if you’re free that night, please come by Hipsoda’s and joiiiinnn uuuuuussss…
