Anybdoy own Brain of Blood?

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

I need somebody to search this movie for a detail. It’s something of a scavenger hunt race, but if we can find it, it’d bring great honor to the capper community. Well, maybe not that great. Contact me if you can do it. Thanks in advance. The task is listed after the jump, don’t read it if you’re spoiler averse.

Kolchak & Brains

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Inspired by the odd obsession of one of noble competitors, we now have the too inside for anybody’s good LOLchak the Night Stalker, put together by UnReality of Caption This! fame. Am I posting this to mock the competition or because it’s funny? Umm, yes!

Meanwhile, former Brains continue to keep busy. In addition to the usual RiffTrax chicanery, The Giant of Marathon, the fourth (of four?) Film Crew movies by Mike, Kevin and Bill is out. (And like numbers two and three, you can request a free chance to caption it at IS. (Sure it’s more complicated and less instantaneous than other capping catalog systems, but I don’t think accidentally gotten stuck capping a request yet.)

And the Brains continue to make online videos! Huzzah.

L.A. ’08 Capfest – Put you $.02 In

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

After much (some?) debate on the egroup, it’s been decided that there’ll be a big old capper gathering in Los Angeles next year with people coming in from all over. Los Anglian capper DiscoBoy is helping to plan the thing and running all sorts of polls over at the Capfest ’08 blog. So, go practice some American style democracy and ignore the site completely and then complain when the capfest isn’t to your liking.

So, The Wiki’s Back

Monday, August 27th, 2007

Nobody remembered to back the wiki up regularly, and there was a crash. So, the capper wiki‘s back to how it was at the start of ’07.  Can you remember that far back? I sure can’t. Arch sends his sincerest apologies. I’m not sure how this is going to effect the already neglected wiki mstings, except to say, um, we’d have to shuffle to recreate what we had of a script or search the couch cushions to see if anybody backed it up on their own machine.

What Now

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

#1 – A point I can’t make strongly enough Hipsoda’s Caption Crack is an always on live capping site much like IS or CT! It’s not just one night a week any more. No, it’s not exactly how I’d build and run a caption site, and while I still have a parent’s pride in IS that leads me to believe IS was a little better, I’ve as yet to hear anybody publicly or privately point out any differences that would keep a happy IS capper from being happy there, and many of you have already made the adjustment. For those of you too maladjusted to enjoy either site, there is as always, glitter’s.

#2 – I appreciate the outpouring of memories, emotions, and pleas in response to IS’ closure and I’m afraid I’ll be unable to to individually respond. The last 26 hours or so of caps will be available for viewing for the next few days (note the “Next page…” link beneath the captions), as will everyone’s picks for the days’ favorites (yeah, it’s a huge page).
