Turkey Day Schedule Released

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

Here’s when you can see your favorite movies during the Turkey week festivities It all weighs in at just over seven days, showing most items twice.

I’ve added two more “new” movies, Ring of Terror and Gamera. It’s not exactly the same version of Gamera the Brains used, General Curly Joe’s not in there, but close enough by my standards. I’ve also got fresh grabs for Master Ninja I and First Spaceship to Venus.

I’ve got two more new movies that’ll be surprises during the marathon, they’re listed as “Mystery Box” on the schedule, and I’m going to try to add new grabs for a few more movies.

Turkey Day Video

Once again, rather than work on the grabs for the Turkey Week marathon I’ve made another video promo that probably won’t attract new cappers. This time reflecting on what we as msties, have to be thankful for:

Help see if it appeals to the non-capper msties out there by taking it down and passing it around.

Rocky! Winky! Fun!

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

From the newest addition to this year’s Turkey Week festivities, it’s everybody’s favorite dorky space sidekick, Winky, with his lullaby Sleepy Little Fella (drowsy little dame not included):

This is of course from episode 413’s Manhunt in Space, the first of two Rocky Jones telemovies the gang riffed. In addition to giving us both “Rockies” in our lineup, it also creates a run of 10 straight features from the middle of season 4. I hope to have a tentative schedule released in the next couple of days, but since Thanksgiving seems to have crept up on me this year, I’m still buy getting the screengrabs that determine the final timing of the whole festivities. But do tell your friends that it’ll be running from the Tuesday November 21st, 8 PM eastern until the 28th.

You had to be the High School Big Shot, didn’t you?

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

It’s that time of year again! Time for me to start plugging away for the upcoming 5th Anniversary Inventing Situations Bake Your Own Turkey Week tv juniors presented by food. Our first official addition is High School Big Shot, starring Tom Pittman as a crazy mixed up kid sharing a dank dank apartment with his even danker dad. I’ve got a few more movies on hand to add, and I’m still scouring the net and the discount bins. (more…)

Wow, this is probably the best news I’ve had in ages. (Sad for me). But it does almost makes me feel sorry for Jim’s little effort. Interesting timing certainly. Go sign up for their newsletter.

[Addendum 6PM] Now that I’ve had time to let this wonderful news sink in, I just noticed this project has awfully familiar initials. I guess we’ll have to start using CT! as a retronym for Caption This! to distinguish it from CT.
